We started Bike Central because we were fed up buying e-bikes that looked great on paper but fell apart on the road. Eight years later, we've ridden every model we sell, serviced thousands of bikes, and built a community of riders who actually trust us.

How we got here

From a Manchester garage to the UK's go-to e-bike shop.

It started in 2018 with two founders, one rented garage in Manchester, and a shared conviction that e-bikes were going to change how Britain moved — if only someone would sell them properly.

We tested every model we could get our hands on. We serviced them, broke them, rode them through winters and city commutes. We built relationships directly with manufacturers who shared our standards. And we said no to a lot of bikes that didn\’t make the cut.

Today we operate two showrooms, a full workshop, and an online store shipping to every corner of the UK. We\’re still picky about what we stock, still ride everything we sell, and still answer the phone ourselves.

Every e-bike replaces car journeys. We offset shipping, use recyclable packaging, and only partner with manufacturers who share our environmental commitments.

'We turn down more bikes than we sell. Every model goes through our workshop before it goes on our website. TÜV certified, UL 2271 batteries — no compromises.

Community

Monthly ride-outs, free skills workshops, an owner's Discord, and a service team who remembers your name. We're a shop that acts like a club.

Humans answer our phones. Orders ship same-day. Warranty claims are sorted in days, not weeks. We think being good at service is a competitive advantage.
